The following
is a small recap of my travels in Cape Verde We visited... The First Lady: a wonderful, exciting woman whose concerns and efforts are designed toward the children of Cape Verde. Dr. Victor Fidalgo, President of Investments: a very brilliant man with much fervor for Cape Verde and its future in the world economy. Ambassador Roger D. Pierce: a lovely human being, who clearly has Cape Verde's future on the forefront of his radar screen. A Semana, newspaper: A totally impressive operation, especially for me as a journalist. We also visited... The hospital and met with Dr. Agostinho Neto Several schools (Tira Chapeu, Castelelao, and Conego Jacino) and met with their directors and discussed their needs and aspirations. We took a tour around Praia City and Cidade Velha ,as well as the Tabanka Museum and the concentration field of Tarrafal. I went on to Sao Vicente and Sal where I visit several sights and tourist locations. Each of the islands are intriguing and vastly different from one another. I must say I saw a lot in just seven short days. I am currently in the process of writing several articles for my readers. Please send any photos or information you can to assist me in this effort. And as soon as they are published I will forward the clips to you. I thank you in advance. I look forward to subsequent visits to Cape Verde as I have discussed with many of my associates and colleagues with regard to the possibilities of investments in Cape Verde. Again, thank you so much for your assistance. I am certainly impressed with Cape Verde's progress thus far, and am looking forward to being part of its future growth. Dolores Bundy |
